Our next Poetry Happy Hour is upon us! Join us at Firehouse Theatre Wednesday, September 2 at 6pm for an evening of inspiration (with time built in to catch up with poet-friends over a relaxing beverage–a real happy hour vibe). This month, we’re excited to feature PoetryPresents (aka Wadeeah Wilkins), followed, of course, by our not-to-be-missed open mic under the bright stage lights. Doors at 5:30, with open mic signup onsite prior to the event. $5 suggested donation.
We’re back at Benchtop Brewing Co (434 Hull St. RVA 23224) the following week for our monthly dose of poems and pints! Come hang out, share, listen, meet new friends and catch up with old ones. We’d love to have you join us–Tuesday, September 8!
No cover or RSVP necessary, and new voices are always welcome. Open mic signup will be onsite prior to the event.
Later in the month, meet us at Cafe Zata–on Friday, September 25, to be exact! Grab a bite and/or a beverage, get your name on the list, and settle in for a night of poems! Open mic sign up will be available starting at 6:30p. No theme or language restrictions. Beer/wine/light dinner fare will be available (with kitchen open til 8pm).
Save the date! Our annual walk through Hollywood Cemetery is scheduled for Saturday October 24. We’ll meet at the gates and meander, poem-ing. RSVP is required for this event, so make sure to get in touch using the “contact” page (or email) if you’re interested in joining!
